Love Stories That Came Before Us

Hey Everyone, We decided to do a “Love Stories That Came Before Us” display at the wedding. If you haven’t seen one of these before, basically, we want to display all the wedding portraits of couples that got married before our special day. This will be a small way for us to honor those of you that made vows before us. Your part is easy! On the bottom of this page (to the right on PC) is a link to a file upload page. On that page, click the “Add files” button and upload your photo. Once you select your photo, a progress bar should load at the bottom until “Done”. Once it has finished, you won’t see your photo or anyone else (respecting privacy). These photos will be stored on my own private server and we will be the only ones that have access to them. This is totally optional however the more photos we get, the cool the display will be. Thank you to everyone that submits photos!

Issue with Invitations

Hey everyone, We had a small mix up on the invitations, the same address got used for multiple invites. If you received multiple invitations to your address but addressed to different people/family’s, please reach out to Gwen or Derek as soon as possible so we can get invitations out to those that didn’t receive them. Thank you!

April Update

Gwen and I were able to design some awesome invitations. We are so happy with how they turned out and are working hard (with Emily’s help) to get all the addresses organized and sent out. Gwen’s ladies were able to get all of their dresses ordered and she was able to get to Men’s Wearhouse to make sure the colors all matched well with the Groomsman outfits we want. Still ironing out the details with Men’s Wearhouse but we have time. They won’t want the Groomsmen to come in for final fitting until about a month before the event just to make sure everything fits.

Invitations Almost Ready 🥳

We recently received our invitations and are working hard to get all the addresses together to be sent out. We are hoping to have them in the mail by this weekend! We will leave the RSVP open until September 4th. All of our wedding party have accepted our invitations to stand by us on our special day. Checkout the Wedding Party page to meet these amazing people. In other news, all of our vendors are lined up and secured (except the desserts). It’s going to be an awesome day. Check out all the pages to see the Venue, Menu, and Hotel Accommodations. For those asking about our Registry, we do have a page with all the details. Gifts definitely aren’t expected but for people who want to, we will gladly accept them. Those of you bringing children to the event, please look over the Children Policy under the Q&A section.

March Update

Little update for everyone on where we are at with the planning. We have almost all our vendors locked down, only thing standing is the Cake/Desserts but we are pretty sure we know who we are going to go with. Gwen and Emily are actively working on the Save the Dates/Invitations as I type this. We plan on send them out the beginning of April. We went to Men’s Wearhouse last weekend and got all the information we need to get the suits picked out and ready for you to get fitted. They said they like to wait until about a month before the event just incase they need to alter sizes so there isn’t going to be a rush to get in. Website is almost done with all the pages and information we wanted to add for public viewing. Just this morning, I published the “Wedding Party” page with some throwback photos and short info on how we are connected. We are feeling really good about where we are at. We should be setup to start coasting into the wedding around the time the baby comes.

Bridal Fairs

Last weekend, Gwen and I and a few of her bridesmaids went to the Bridal Fair at the DoubleTree. Talked to a lot of vendors! We just locked down a DJ! James Harwood from Barnyard Bliss Events. Can’t wait to start putting together the playlist for the dance party. Gwen may have also figured out who she wants to work with for Florist. We still need to figure out Caterer and Cake but luckily, we are going to another Bridal Fair this next Saturday at the Convention Center.
